Can't sleep

I know i said i was done for the day, well i'm not i cant sleep so i thought i'd add more. I've been searching the web for awareness ribbons and i think i found some they are the same as the Americans, the address for any one who is interested is www.headcovers.com They also have keyrings and other stuff for all causes. It's worth taking a look at.
So Jayden went to sleep ok tonight, he is on the floor again. I guess i should tell you about my boy ,
Fave food-Cheezels Fave tv show-New Macdonalds Farm Fave Character-Milly Macdonald Fave Singer- Shannon Noll.
He goes to daycare 3 days a week and he loves it, he has them wrapped around his finger.
His first word was MUM, at 6 months than it stopped now all he says is Daddaddad, doosh, dirsty, and alot of unusual noises which make no sense at all.He also used to say EIEIO.
We tried the Gluten Dairy free diet, failed, it did not react well with his tummy so the drs told me to take him off it. So it works for some but not for others.
Iv'e noticed lately his mannerisms aren't as bad or as noticable as usual although he does still spin around in circles and shake his head.
Goodnight, i will try and sleep.

Tantrums

Today has been one tantrum after another, it has been a very trying day and its not over yet.
What are the tantrums over? i have absolutely no idea. Hes my son and i still can't figure him out.
He has started hitting himself and throwing himself to the floor, squeeling and of course crying.
I need help!!!! I am at my wits end and about ready to throw a tantrum myself.
As i am typing Jayden is pulling books out of the bookshelf, apparantly Stephen King books are fun to look at. I know he is tooo young to read but sometimes i swear he can, he has such a great memory(unlike me).
He has a fat lip aswell today he was being silly and ran into the kitchen table, there wasn't much blood but it certainly stung him, did it deter him? no way he still spins in circles around the table.

AWARENESS WEEK

For anyone who reads this i would like to remind you that Autism Awareness Week is MAY 14-21 2006. So support in any way, you can buy Band Together wrist bands on the Aspect web site, all the details are there. The bands only cost $2.
I will be writing an article for my local paper, once published i will post it for everyone to read. That will be one of my contributions to Awareness week.
If anyone has seen the awareness ribbons could you please let me know, i am very interested in those.

Jayden has gone 3 nights without his cot, we set up a single bed for him but he sleeps on the floor against the door with a giant SHRECK cuddle pillow. We are happy to leave him there, hopefully over the next few nights he will move into the bed. Thats just one of our many challenges at the moment.
He is progressing some what, the other day he said DIRSTY which im sure he ment THIRSTY hes getting better with his words. One day hopefully he'll say MUM thats all i want hear right now, remember the first time your child said that? how great did that feel? thats what i want. It may be a little selfish but at this point ill be happy with that.
Jayde goes to preschool 3 days a week now and he loves it and they love him. It has done wonders for his confidence and personality. Not that he didn't already have personality, he did.

there are limeted services availabe to us this is why ive started this blog, i want people in country towns to know you are not alone.

Anyway about me, im quiet in nature except when it comes to Jayden.

Im a stay at home mum, by choice although i will go back to work soon.

This site is about my son JAYDEN, he has Autism.He is almost 3 years of age and he cannot talk, he doesn't eat properly,he throws tantrums and we love him to bits.
I want this page to create awareness, 1 in 100 children are dignosed with Autism, pretty common huh???
